Head of Economic and Commercial Office of the Greek Embassy in Serbia Sophia Tsamicha stated that the Greek crisis has not affected the Serbian economy so far.

One of the possible consequences of the crisis' spillover in Serbia is a potential decrease in the Serbian export to Greece, or Europe, due to the decline in demand. However, the latest statistical data refute that.

In the past eight months, both Serbian and Greek export increased, with a bigger increase on the Serbian side. This means that the crisis in Greece is not affecting Serbia, she told Magazin Biznis.

According to her, the Hellenic Republic is oriented towards the implementation of the needed reforms and sees the crisis as an opportunity to transform itself into a stronger and more competitive economy.

Tsamicha believes that no one can predict when the world's and Greek crisis will end, and how things will develop, because all that depends a lot on national, European and global issues.
