Head of the Serbian Tax Administration Dragutin Radosavljevic said Tuesday the Administration has filed charges against active companies which owe taxes and that nobody's debt will be canceled.
Radosavljevic told B92 television that of the total debt of RSD 214 billion, only around RSD 50 billion can realistically be collected.
He explained the Tax Administration can not start the procedure for enforced collection in the case of companies undergoing a restructuring, such as the Resavica mine or parts of the Bor mining complex.
"These companies are undergoing a restructuring. They are paying off their debt in installments and I hope they will honor the reprogramming and restructuring that is taking place," said Radosavljevic.
