The 40th International Film Festival FEST under the slogan 'In the World of the Greats' ('U Svetu Velikih') will open in Belgrade's Sava Cetre on February 24 by a display of the film 'The Tree of Life' by Terrence Mallick.
The 40th International Film Festival FEST under the slogan 'In the World of the Greats' ('U Svetu Velikih') will open in Belgrade's Sava Cetre on February 24 by a display of the film 'The Tree of Life' by Terrence Mallick, the last year's winner of the Palme d'Or at the Festival de Cannes, organisers announced at a press conference on Tuesday.
The festival will open with the appearance of Peter Bogdanovich, the famous Hollywood director of Serbian origin.
The festival, closing on March 4, will feature 72 film premieres and around 20 retrospectives, Director of the FEST Directorate Milos Paramentic stated.
The festival will end by the premier of the Serbian film 'Doctor Ray and the Devils' by Dinko Tusakovic.
To mark the anniversary, the organisers will issue a monograph and stage an exhibition of photos and posters.
The price of tickets remains the same as in the previous few years, ranging from RSD 150 to 300, while the price of tickets for the festival's opening day totals RSD 500 (EUR 1=RSD 105).
