Nordic film festival opens at DKC

The traditional Nordic Panorama film festival will open Friday evening at the Cultural Center of Belgrade (DKC), and run until February 21.

The traditional Nordic Panorama film festival will open Friday evening at the Cultural Center of Belgrade (DKC), and run until February 21.

For the ninth year running, the festival of short, documentary and animated films from the Nordic region is being organized by the Balkankult Foundation and DKC, in cooperation with embassies, film institutes, producers and distributors from Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Iceland.

This year's program is made up of 30 films, many of which have won international awards at European festivals.

For the first time, the festival has two segments dedicated to Laponian short film and Nordic children's film.

The entire program will also be screened at the Studentski grad cultural center from February 18 to 22, and will be shown in other cities accross Serbia later in the year.

The Actvis pharmaceutical company has been a sponsor of the festival since its inception.
