Serbia's Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic said on Sunday Uganda had not recognized the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo, nor had any intention of doing so.
"That country's Foreign Minister Oryem Henry Okello confirmed this directly to me today," Jeremic told Tanjug.
This is another attempt at deception by the provisional institutions in Pristina, just like in the cases of Nigeria and the Central African Republic, he pointed out.
"It is possible that some people close to these countries' authorities were bribed, but there has been no change in their decision to respect Serbia's sovereignty and territorial integrity," Jeremic stressed.
The politicians in Pristina have been under ever increasing pressure from the international community to abandon their adamant views concerning the talks with Belgrade and "in this way they are obviously trying to divert the local public's attention from this fact, which is very unpleasant for them," Jeremic stated.
