The administrative crossings Brnjak and Jarinje, northern Kosovo, are still closed, because of snow on the road and the roadblocks set by Serbs outside the crossings on the territory of central Serbia.

Alternative routes are still the way to reach northern Kosovo from Raska and Ribarice and to return. Those roads are in very poor condition, and the part of the road between Raska and Leposavic from Rudnica to Jarinje is covered in snow.

KFOR troops removed on Friday a roadblock that was in their jurisdiction, so the metal and wood barricade is now outside Jarinje, on the road between Raska and Leposavic, on the territory of central Serbia.

There is a tent on this road, where the local Serbs keep watch. It was the final destination for buses and vans in the past weeks, during poor weather conditions. The passengers from those vehicles had to switch to other vehicles in order to go on.

KFOR has stated that Jarinje and Brnjak are open to all traffic, but no Serbs have used them since last summer, protesting against the arrival of Kosovo customs officials to these checkpoints.

There are still barricades left in northern Kosovo, which were not cleared even after several calls to do so that came from Belgrade.

The ones on the road between Kosovska Mitrovica and Leposavic, in Dudin Krs, and on the northern side of the Kosovska Mitrovica bridge over the Ibar river are among the biggest ones. They have been reinforced by concrete.
