Main celebration of National Library of Serbia’s anniversary

As part of the two-day celebration of the 180th anniversary of the National Library of Serbia, the main celebration will be held on 28 February at 11.00 at the Library’s amphitheatre.

As part of the two-day celebration of the 180th anniversary of the National Library of Serbia, the main celebration will be held on 28 February at 11.00 at the Library’s amphitheatre.

Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic will address those present, and so will Serbian author and president of the Library’s board of management Svetlana Velmar-Jankovic and acting manager of the Library Dejan Ristic.

The celebration will be attended by Serbian MPs, ministers, members of the diplomatic corps, representatives from international organisations, provosts, deans, directors of more than fifty institutions of culture, science and education, representatives of traditional churches and many renowned persons.
