Deputy Prime Minister for Economic and Regional Development Verica Kalanovic presented today in Pirot an agreement on expanding investment and hiring 50 new employees in Tigar Tires.

After delivering the agreement to the company’s CEO Bruno Mason, Kalanovic said that this is another evidence that the programme of attracting investments is good and gives concrete results.

The Deputy Prime Minister stated that the programme is aimed at combating unemployment, and added that this investment is extremely important for Pirot.

Tigar Tires thus received a grant in the amount of €3.77 million to increase the volume of production by an additional 500,000 tires.

€200,000 has been approved to Tigar Tires for employment of 50 new workers.

The company currently employs more than 2,000 employees and last year it produced 6.5 million tires, while this year the production of eight million tires is planned.
