Belgrade: Record number of participants in the 25th Marathon on Sunday

The director of the Belgrade Marathon, Dejan Nikolić, said that the registration was not over and that between 2,300 and 2,400 participants from 35 countries are expected, whereby the record of 1,833 competitors would be exceeded.
A record number of runners is expected to take part in the 25th Belgrade Marathon on Sunday – in the classic marathon and semi-marathon races.
The director of the Belgrade Marathon, Dejan Nikolić, said that the registration was not over and that between 2,300 and 2,400 participants from 35 countries are expected, whereby the record of 1,833 competitors would be exceeded.
The main objective of the organizer is that the marathon should stay one of the symbols of Belgrade and Serbia and celebrate many more anniversaries, emphasized Nikolić.
The official start of the marathon is on Sunday, April 22, at 10 am, whereas the popular recreational Race of Pleasure begins 15 minutes later.
