Serbia's beauties of nature comprise the Iron Gate, which is the second largest canyon in the world after the Grand Canyon in Colorado, Mt. Kopaonik and rivers. Moreover, the U.S. tourist would enjoy Serbia's festivals such as Exit, Guca, Beer Fest and Nisville Jazz Festival.
Serbia staged the first promotion of its tourism offer in Washington on Thursday presenting beauties of nature, music festivals and gastronomic specialties.
Director of the Tourism Organization of Serbia (TOS) Gordana Plamenac said at the presentation in the Serbian Embassy in Washington that 15,000 U.S. citizens visited Serbia last year, but that this is still a small number when compared to the potentials of the U.S. market.
Plamenac said that the U.S. market should be presented with a greater number of Serbia's tourism offers, stressing that the majority of U.S. tourists arrive in Serbia by cruisers over the Danube River, and usually stay a few days.

Moreover, the U.S. tourist would enjoy Serbia's festivals such as Exit, Guca, Beer Fest and Nisville Jazz Festival, she added.
The promotion also showed the video entitled 'Soulfood', which presents Serbia as a place where food is prepared with soul.
As part of the Passport Day held on Saturday 5, when the embassies in Washington open their doors to visitors, the TOS will organize a presentation of Serbia which will include the performance of Marko Djordjevic's ethno jazz band.
