Committee for Journalist Protection, with headquarters in the USA, expressed deep concern on Wednesday over the fact that an American Network CBS woman reporter Lara Logan was sexually assaulted and beaten in Cairo, where she was reporting from.

That network reported about the assault against Logan, who is recovering in an American hospital.

Lara Logan was in the city's Tahrir Square on Friday after Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak stepped down when she, her team and their security were surrounded by around 200 persons, which led to the reporter beiong separated from her crew.

The network said she suffered what CBS called “brutal and sustained sexual assault and beating”. She was saved by a group of women and about 20 Egyptian soldiers.

A large number of American journalists left Egypt during the riots, because they sustained beatings or received threats while doing their jobs as reporters.

Committee for Journalist Protection stated they have evidence about more than 140 assaults against journalists and media objects since the beginning of protests in Egypt, ‘Voice of America’ reported.

I'd give someone my life savings if they could find a liberal politician or member of the media who relates cultural acceptance of and participation in mass rape to Islamic Fundamentalism. Suffice to say, I think I'll be keeping my life savings.

i am not surprised. The Egyptian men have little regard for their own women let alone an american reporter. Thank God there were some Egyptian women who had the courage to recue her.

Watch the liberal media rush to defend the middle eastern pigs that committed this crime. They will find a way to blame America for this crime. Hey CODE PINK, what are your thoughts of this crime against women?

Why are you picking on the Liberals. That solves nothing.
The deeper issue is why some men continue to treat women in this fashion, ALL OVER THE WORLD.
