The news is reported by sources in the Saudi Interior Ministry, quoted by pan-Arab television networks Al Jazeera and Al Arabiya.
The Saudi Interior Ministry has accused a ''foreign State'' of trying to ''create confusion'' in the country.
Saudi newspaper Al Sharq Al Awsat, published in London, mentioned that Iran is involved in a complot aimed at provoking clashes between Sunnis and Shiites in Qatif.
