In an operation dubbed Morina the Albanian police have foiled the contraband of 20,000 pairs of shoes worth half a million of dollars.

In an operation dubbed Morina the Albanian police have foiled the contraband of 20,000 pairs of shoes worth half a million of dollars, Macedonian Sitel television station reports.

The contraband shoes were coming from Bulgaria and were smuggled into Albania from Kosovo at Morina checkpoint. The shoes were loaded in two Mercedes trucks.

The police in Albania announced they would continue investigating the case.
