Company "Rade Koncar-TEP" presented Wednesday the new EUR 750,000-worth investment, provided through a loan from the European Investment Bank and the Macedonian Bank for Development Promotion.
The funds have been used for purchase of new machinery, warehouse system and environment protection. One of the machines, produced in Japan, is first of its type in the region.
According to Economy Minister Fatmir Besimi, the investment puts "Rade Koncar-TEP" into the pool of companies with top-class technology.
"The investment will result in improved competitiveness and conquering new markets, as well as urge other businessmen to invest in new technologies", said Minister Besimi.
"Rade Koncar-TEP" is the first beneficiary of funds within the EUR 100 million credit line from the European Investment Bank, aimed at helping the country's economy in time of global crisis.
Company director Aco Antevski said machines were purchased at 20-30 percent lower prices due to the economic crisis.
According to him, Macedonian economy has left the crisis behind, while output has gradually increased.
