Code Red alert of floods extended till Sunday afternoon for eastern Romania

The hydrology experts have extended till 4 p.m. on Sunday a Red Code alert of floods they issued on Thursday for the river Prut in the counties of Iasi, Botosani and Galati and for the river Siret in the counties of Neamt, Bacau and Galati (eastern Romania).

The hydrology experts have extended till 4 p.m. on Sunday a Red Code alert of floods they issued on Thursday for the river Prut in the counties of Iasi, Botosani and Galati and for the river Siret in the counties of Neamt, Bacau and Galati (eastern Romania).

At the same time, the experts have issued a Code Orange warning of flooding on the river Prut, in the counties of Botosani, Iasi and Vaslui, on the Siret in the counties of Vrancea and Galati, on the river Olt in the central Brasov county and on the Jijia, in the counties of Botosani and Iasi.

A Code Yellow alert has been issued for the Olt, in the counties of Harghita, Covasna, Brasov, Sibiu, Valcea and Olt, for the Raul Negru in Covasna county, for the Siret, in Suceava county, for the rivers Suceava, Moldova, Bistrita and Trotus running in the counties of Suceava, Neamt, Harghita and Bacau.
