UN General Secretary Ban Ki-moon made an appeal to ''avoid provocations'' following the decision by the Hague's Court of Justice according to which Kosovo's declaration of independence is not contrary to international law.
UN General Secretary Ban Ki-moon made an appeal to ''avoid provocations'' following the decision by the Hague's Court of Justice according to which Kosovo's declaration of independence is not contrary to international law.
The report was made by Martin Nesirky, the General Secretary's spokesperson, during a conference in the United Nations.
Ban ''strongly encourages the involved parties to engage in a constructive debate, avoiding provocations that may
derail such talks''.
The spokesperson explained that the General Secretary will ''transmit the Court's opinion to the UN General Assembly''.
