Tirana denies Marty's accusations

Albanian parliament speaker Josefina Topalli said that Marty's reports is directed against the Albanian state and its partners across the world, as well as peace in the region.

Albanian politicians denied the allegations made by Council of Europe rapporteur Dick Marty, who claimed that members of the Kosovo Liberation Army took Serb prisoners to Albania where they killed them and removed their organs which were later sold in other countries.

Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha said that the report reflects the political bias of its author.

The accusations made in the report are not based on facts and reality, reported Albanian news agency ATA.

Albanian parliament speaker Josefina Topalli said that Marty's reports is directed against the Albanian state and its partners across the world, as well as peace in the region.

Other Albanian politicians also said there was no basis for the serious accusations made in Marty's report, which will go before the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly in January.
