Seven flights from and to Sofia Airport have been cancelled, the airport says on its website.

Flights of five airline companies from Munich have been cancelled and will not take off from Sofia Airport. Two other flights from Bucharest to Sofia have been cancelled too. The flights from Burgas, Varna, Athens and Istanbul to Sofia are late.

It will be foggy in the lowlands and valleys in Bulgaria on Thursday, Anastasia Kirilova, weather forecaster on duty in the National Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH), told FOCUS News Agency.

It will drizzle from the fog and in the regions with temperatures below zero the roads could get icy. Visibility will improve in the afternoon.

The maximum temperatures will vary from 3°C-5°C in the foggy regions to 15°C-16°C in Eastern Bulgaria and north of the mountain ranges where it will be sunny. In Sofia it will be about 6°C.
