The Romanian parliament debate on a no-confidence vote was interrupted on Thursday when a man threw himself from the Deputies' Chamber balcony.

The incident happened while Prime Minister Emil Boc was delivering a speech on a no-confidence vote over the framework public pay law.

First aid was given to the injured man in the chamber, and according to a new report of the local media, the man works for the public television.

Paroles “You killed our future” and “You are killing our children, you sold us,” were written on his shirt, the Romanian Agerpres Agency reported.

After the incident, the MPs are expected to continue their debate and vote on the no-confidence proposal, which was sought by the opposition after the government had lowered employees’ wages by 25 percent.

This is the third time in 2010 that the Romanian parliament takes the no-confidence vote.
