The Airbus- 29 airliner of 28 Air Squadron will fly to Cairo Tuesday to collect the Bulgarians who want to leave Egypt, Bulgarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikolay Mladenov announced from Brussels.

The EU needs a clear and coordinated course of action in such emergency situations, Mr Naydenov said in a statement before the EU Committee on Civil Liberties and Internal Affairs.

He insisted on the drawing –up of clear rules for coordinated actions of the member states. Europe supports the democratic appeals of the youth who are out on Cairo’s streets, Mr Mladenov noted.

As far as the Schengen issue is concerned, the minister said the Bulgarian government had adopted a plan of action regarding the EU technical requirements. By March Bulgaria will meet the technical criteria for joining the Schengen space, Mr Mladenov said further.
