Romania's international reserves decrease approximately 3 million euros

Romania's international reserves (foreign exchange and gold) on January 31, 2011, amounted to 35.947 billion euros, decreasing 3 million euros (0.01 percent) compared to the level at the end of last year, namely 35.95 billion euros, informs the National Bank of Romania (BNR).

On January 31, 2011, BNR's foreign exchange reserves amounted to 32.689 billion euros, compared with 32.432 billion euros on December 31, 2010.

The gold stock has held steady at 103.7 tonnes. Following the change in the international price of gold, its value amounted to 3.258 billion euros.

During the month of February 2011, the payments due on public direct or publicly guaranteed by the Public Finance Ministry external debt amount to 163.08 million euros.
