Parliament Speaker Trajko Veljanoski will schedule the session for dissolution of the parliament on Thursday (April 14).

Parliament Speaker Trajko Veljanoski will schedule the session for dissolution of the parliament on Thursday (April 14).

Veljanoski announced after today’s coordination meeting that the decision for scheduling snap parliamentary elections would be signed on April 15.

At a coordination meeting on Monday, Veljanoski submitted a decision for dissolution of the Parliament and he expects ruling and opposition MPs to sign this document today and tomorrow.

The Speaker called on all deputies to attend a session in order to elect a president of the State Election Commission (SEC) and to at least attend Thursday's session focused on debates about Parliamen's dissolution.

"I want all MPs elected by the citizens of Macedonia to represent their interests here in the Parliament and to make efforts to at least endorse Parliament's decision. Let's enable the citizens to decide who to grant the right to govern the state," said Veljanoski.

The early parliamentary polls in Macedonia are to be held on June 5.
