Djelic presents Serbia’s progress in European integration process

Djelic presented to the ambassadors the progress in the field of European integration since February 2011 to date, giving a special focus to fulfillment of specific priorities contained in the Action plan which are aimed at obtaining the candidate status by the end of 2011.
Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Bozidar Djelic held yesterday a regular quarterly meeting with the ambassadors of the EU accredited in Serbia.
Djelic presented to the ambassadors the progress in the field of European integration since February 2011 to date, giving a special focus to fulfillment of specific priorities contained in the Action plan which are aimed at obtaining the candidate status by the end of 2011.
The Deputy Prime Minister briefed the ambassadors on the meeting of the Board for implementation of the Interim Trade Agreement between Serbia and the EU, which enters its third year of successful implementation.
He also spoke about the idea to hold a Serbia–EU summit in September, as well as about the agreement reached among Western Balkan countries regarding an initiative for a linear amount of pre-accession funds and EU assistance to countries in the region.
