Serbian Interior Ministry said Friday that an EU mission of experts visited Serbia from April 26 do 29 to monitor visa liberalization and that its preliminary reports were generally positive for all areas that were discussed, with the remark that it is necessary to speed up the implementation of the strategies and action plans adopted so far.

The mission's task was to check whether Serbia continues to apply standards, regulations and procedures adapted to those applied by EU member states.
Areas of the roadmap that were discussed were the security of documents, border management and control of the administrative line with Kosovo, migration management, fight against organized crime and corruption, basic human and minority rights, external relations and fundamental rights, the release says.
The mission was carried out by independent experts of EU member states, accompanied by representatives of the European Commission and the EU Delegation in Serbia.
