Over the next ten years, Montenegro is expected to experience the world’s fastest growth of total contribution of travel and tourism to GDP at 12.4 per cent a year, the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) has announced in its latest report.

With an average annual growth of direct contribution of tourism to GDP at 10.9 per cent by 2021, Montenegro also tops the WTTC world ranking list including 181 countries.

In addition, Montenegro also heads the list when it comes to growth of tourism’s direct and total contribution to employment and visitors exports, as well as in terms of forecast investments over the next decade.

Regarding the contribution of tourist visits, the real growth of 9.4 per cent a year in the next decade puts Montenegro in the second place globally.
