Basic Court Skopje 1 has prolonged the detention of United for Macedonia leader and ex-interior minister, Ljube Boskoski, for another 30 days.

Basic Court Skopje 1 has prolonged the detention of United for Macedonia leader and ex-interior minister, Ljube Boskoski, for another 30 days.

The court reached its decision on three bases: threat from escaping, influencing the investigation and committing the same crime.

Boskoski is in detention since June 7, since he was arrested a day earlier under suspicion of unlawful financing of the election campaign and abuse of office.

The trial in Boskoski's case was supposed to start on July 4, but it was delayed because the courtroom was occupied, according to his lawyers
