The meeting in Sremski Karlovci will be attended by prosecutors from all three states, including War Crime Prosecutor Vladimir Vukcevic, Organized Crime Prosecutor Miljko Radisavljevic and State Public Prosecutor Zagorka Dolovac on the behalf of Serbia.

Serbian Minister of Justice Snezana Malovic will confer with her counterparts from Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia, Barisa Colak and Drazen Bosnjakovic respectively, in Sremski Karlovci on Friday in order to consider the possibilities of expanding the agreement on extradition of citizens suspected of serious crimes.

The Serbian justice minister told Tanjug that the meeting will discuss the possibilities of expanding the agreement on extradition of nationals so that the persons responsible for serious crimes can no longer hide behind dual citizenship.

All three countries have recognized this problem. Criminals cannot have a possibility of using dual citizenship.

Therefore, I believe that the existing agreements on extradition of nationals should be expanded to other serious crimes as well, Malovic said.

“We had to be more determined and absolutely open in the fight against all forms of crime. All three countries have the same goal - security of all citizens and absolute rule of law. Relations with neighbors are a priority since only good neighboring relations are a guarantee of security,” Malovic said.
