Greece backs proposal for South-Eastern Europe Brigade HQ to move permanently to Bulgaria

The Chief of Greece's National Defence General Staff, General Ioannis Giagkos, said on Wednesday he supports Sofia's proposal that the headquarters of the South-Eastern Europe Brigade be relocated permanently to Bulgaria after its 2011-2015 rotation cycle in Larissa, Greece.

The Chief of Greece's National Defence General Staff, General Ioannis Giagkos, said on Wednesday he supports Sofia's proposal that the headquarters of the South-Eastern Europe Brigade be relocated permanently to Bulgaria after its 2011-2015 rotation cycle in Larissa, Greece.

Giagkos was speaking at a joint news briefing with Bulgaria's Chief of Defence, General Simeon Simeonov, during an official two-day visit to Bulgaria.
