The Peace Implementation Council (PIC) ended its two-day session on Thursday, and issued a press release stating that politicians in BH are urged to form the Council of Ministers as soon as possible.

The Steering Board of the PIC concluded that the situation in BiH was serious and that the country was going backwards.

However, no signal was given to the Office of High Representative to interfere in this process, like some speculated it would. HR Valentin Inzko said the session was focused on the future, and challenges BH will face in H2 2011.

The three main priorities defined by PIC include central government formation; stopping hindrances to the Dayton Agreement and using the opportunity which comes to BH from increased presence of the EU.

Political Directors of the Peace Implementation Council Steering Board (PIC SB) met in Sarajevo on 6-7 July 2011.

Representatives of the Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Parliamentary Assembly and the civil society attended parts of the meeting.
