The total average income per household member in Bulgaria during the third trimester of this year stood at BGN 978 (roughly EUR 490), up 5 percent on the same period of 2010, the National Statistical Institute said.

The total of average expenses per household member during the third trimester stood at BGN 917, up 8.6 percent on the same period of 2010.

Most of the incomes of households (80 percent) were derived from salaries and pensions.
