The Foreign Ministers of the two countries are conducting talks in Sofia on the signing of six agreements to be contracted by the end of the month during the visit to Sofia of the Prime Minister of Qatar.

Qatar could invest EUR 100 million in various projects in Bulgaria.

A major document is the framework agreement related to investments, Foreign Minister Nikolai Mladenov explained after his talks with his counterpart Haled al Attyha.

Qatar is interested in cooperation in the real estate sector, tourism, infrastructure, mining and healthcare, Haled al Attyha pointed out. He further said that Qatar views Bulgaria as an important transit country for trade between the East and the West.
