Prime Minister Sali Berisha visited Vlora city today and attended the inauguration ceremony of Uji i Ftohtë tunnel, a state budget investment of 100 million lekë.

Uji i Ftohtë tunnel is 117 meters long, 4 meters high and actually 11 meters wide following works carried out in it. Thus, it is transformed into a road segment of modern standards.

The modern infrastructure in Vlora city and the surrounding areas enables the residential areas get connected with the beaches and attract more and more tourists, the number of which during the recent years has increased ten-fold.

PM Berisha examined from very close the works on the tunnel and compared it with the previous tunnel as shown by a projector.

In his speech delivered on this occasion, PM Berisha expressed his pleasure to share with Vlora citizens the pleasure of inaugurating this tunnel which has actually taken the shape and function of a modern infrastructure work. The prime minister promised that investments in Vlora city will get increased more and more in the future and the resort gets the deserved view.
