Lufthansa inaugurates Bucharest-Berlin direct flights

Starting on this June 3, the Lufthansa Airlines is operating Bucharest-Berlin weekly direct flights, part in a vast, 60 million- euro programme aimed at increasing the Company's European destinations to 39.

Starting on this June 3, the Lufthansa Airlines is operating Bucharest-Berlin weekly direct flights, part in a vast, 60 million- euro programme aimed at increasing the Company's European destinations to 39.

The Lufthansa Group includes companies like Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines and Swiss Airlines and scored 1.1 million passengers, a record figure, on the Romanian market, in 2011.

Lufthansa carried 680,000 passengers, from and to Romania, last year, by 20 percent more than in 2010.

The Company continued the investments, since March, in the Romanian market, also doubling the daily capacity of its Sibiu - Munich flights. Likewise, starting on March 25, Swiss Airlines operates two Bucharest-Zurich flights, daily.
