At least seven have been injured following blasts and a fire in an ammunition depot owned by a company for storage and utilization of munitions in Southeastern Bulgaria.
The accident took place on Tuesday afternoon close to the Sofia-Burgas hgihway, between the towns of Sliven and Yambol.
A three-kilometer security zone has been formed in the area. The Interior Ministry said the explosions occurred in a private warehouse owned by the Sofia-based company Beretta Trading, and the incident had nothing in common with military warehouses.
The special services have been working for clarifying the cause of the blasts. This has been the fifth such accident in ammunition depots in Bulgaria since 2008.
