Attack doesn't serve the interests of Kosovo and the whole Western Balkan region on their way to further European integration. Violence can never be a solution.

EULEX strongly condemns the attack at the Border/Boundary line (Gate 31) near Zubin Potok in the north of Kosovo.

On Saturday morning (13th March, 2010) at about 01.00h, a EULEX vehicle was fired upon and suffered damage. A container building of the Kosovo Police also sustained slight damage from an explosive device.

Luckily, nobody was injured, but EULEX wants to underline that such a criminal and life-threatening attack does not serve the interests of the people, from all communities, in Kosovo.

Neither does it serve the interests of Kosovo and the whole Western Balkan region on their way to further European integration. Violence can never be a solution.

The ongoing investigation is being carried out jointly by Kosovo Police and EULEX Police.

A similar attack occurred in September 2009
