Acting Chief EULEX Prosecutor at the Supreme Court of Kosovo Johannes van Vreeswijk has stated that arrests will very soon be made regarding the case of the search of the Kosovo Ministry of Transport and Telecommunication, headed by Fatmir Ljimaj.

In an interview for the Klan Kosova television, van Vreeswijk said that there are three main suspects in the Ljimaj case.

For the time being there are three suspects and arrests will be made, Vreeswijk said, adding that, apart from Ljimaj case, the investigation on nineteen other cases of corruption has been completed.

He reiterated that the investigation is being conducted against other Kosovo ministers as well, and stressed that he is not bothered with the fact that the suspects are top political officials.

He said that Kosovo inhabitants should not perceive the EULEX investigation as an attack on politicians, adding that no one is above the law, including the Kosovo prime minister.

Van Vreeswijk stated on May 7 that Kosovo Minister of Transport and Telecommunication Fatmir Ljimaj and Head of the ministry's Department of Procurement Nedzat Krasnici were suspected of money laundering, organized crime, abuse of office, fraud and taking bribe.

In an interview for the Pristina daily Koha Ditore, van Vreeswijk said that these acts envisage punishments of 55 years in prison.
