Nordic Business Alliance opens office in Serbia

The recently established Nordic Business Alliance, which gathers companies from Denmark, Finland, Norway, Iceland and Sweden that do business on the Serbian market, has opened an office in Belgrade, the Alliance stated.

The Alliance, the first of its kind in Serbia, is aimed at promoting and strengthening cooperation between Nordic companies and the Serbian market and contributing to the growth of business activities, Executive Director of the NBAlliance Sladjana Bozovic said at presentation.
According to Bozovic, the Alliance, which was founded in late 2009, will help Nordic companies find business partners in Serbia and viceversa. It will back newly created Nordic companies in Serbia and present Serbia as a good investment location.
She also said that the Alliance's first activity will be to organize "The Days of Scandinavia" in Belgrade in September, an event that is planned to bring together Nordic and Serbian companies and help them establish new business contacts in the areas of innovation and design.
Ikea Director in Serbia Skalusevic said that the Alliance will also try to promote Nordic business values in Serbia.
Danish Ambassador Mette Kjuel Nielsen expressed her expectation that the NBAlliance will upgrade the attractiveness of the Serbian market and contribute to the improvement of Serbia's business image.
Nielsen called on companies to join the NBAlliance in order to boost prosperity and good business activity.
The Alliance was founded by Ikea, Carlsberg, SKF Commerce, FormaTech and Eurolift.
