Aslani planned to construct military Jihad base

The US public prosecutor for the Eastern District of North Carolina charged Aslani with criminal acts of providing material or resources to terrorists, supporting terrorism or conspiracy to murder, kidnapping, disabling or causing injury to persons or causing damage to property in a foreign country.
Bajram Aslani, who was arrested in Kosovska Mitrovica, is the second Kosovo citizen in the group of nine persons suspected of having planned to perform terrorist acts in the U.S., Kosovo and other territories, the Pristina media reported.In July 2009, Eastern District of North Carolina charged eight persons, among whom was Hisen Serifi from Kosovo, with supporting terrorism or conspiracy to murder, kidnapping, causing injury to persons and other violations.
Aslani is suspected of having planned, in cooperation with Hisert Serifi, to construct an operative base in Kosovo, where troops would be recruited for militant jihad.
Aslani, who was arrested by the Kosovo police under the supervision of EULEX Special Prosecutor and five agents of the FBI, had maintained regular contact with a jihad group from Eastern District of North Carolina, whose members were arrested in July 2009.

Aslani was arrested based on the warrant issued by the Eastern District of North Carolina, and should everything he is charged with be proven, he could be sentenced to 40 years of prison, the U.S. SDepartment announced.
