Kosovo Deputy Foreign Minister Vlora Citaku has said that the U.S. and leading EU countries will, at the fall session of the U.N. General Assembly, propose a resolution that will back the opinion of the ICJ.

On KTV's show Interaktiv, Citaku said that, regardless of Serbia's potential draft resolution, the most important countries of the world will come out with their own resolution, which will support the ICJ ruling.

The Hague ebased court ruled that Kosovo's declaration of independence was not in violation of international law and the Res 1244.

Citaku also talked about the intense lobbying of Kosovo diplomatic representatives, with coordination and assistance from international officials, in a bid to secure new recognitions of Kosovo.

According to her, the entire Kosovo diplomatic corps will focus fully on presenting the ICJ opinion and demanding recognition of Pristina.
