Commander of the KFOR's Multinational Battle Group Center Gen. Seppo Toivonen has stated that the International Court of Justice (ICJ) advisory opinion concerning the legality of Kosovo's unilaterally declared independence will not affect the future activities of the international forces.

In a statement for Radio Gracanica, Toivonen said that KFOR will remain faithful to protection of safety for all

The advisory opinion cannot affect KFOR's role in any way, and KFOR will continue to fulfill its duty impartially, with equal consideration to all citizens, the commander pointed out.
