A group of British journalists is on a visit to Belgrade until August 22, at the invitation of the Tourist Organization of Serbia. Their aim is to acquaint British readers with Serbia’s tourist potentials.

The journalists come from the Daily Mirror, the Manchester Evening News, the South Wales Evening Post, Sunday Mercury, the Liverpool Echo and the Ipswich Evening Star.

They are to tour the cultural sights and natural assets along the river Danube – Viminacium, the Srebrno jezero lake, the Golubac Fortress, the Djerdap ravine, Donji Milanovac and Kladovo.

Special attention has been devoted to the Danube, as a major tourist product of Serbia, since numerous archaeological sites, medieval fortresses, churches and monasteries and modern towns as well extend along its flow.
