The U.S. State Department has refuted the claims that the country is preparing a resolution for the UN General Assembly which will focus on the CJ advisory opinion. There is no such resolution, the State Department stated in a release submitted to Tanjug.

The daily Blic reported that the U.S. is preparing its own resolution, in which it requires that Belgrade and Pristina establish negotiations and concludes that the status of Kosovo remains unchanged.

One of the points on the agenda for the UN General Assembly on September 9 will refer to the resolution on Kosovo which Serbia has submitted to the UN.

Certain diplomatic sources in New York confirmed for Tanjug that no other draft resolution has been submitted to the UN so far.
