Agreement on cooperation between health institutions of Serbia, Albania reached

Minister of Health Tomica Milosavljevic and Albanian Minister of Health Petrit Vasili reached an agreement yesterday in Tirana on cooperation between the two countries’ health care institutions.

Minister of Health Tomica Milosavljevic and Albanian Minister of Health Petrit Vasili reached an agreement yesterday in Tirana on cooperation between the two countries’ health care institutions.

Milosavljevic told Tanjug news agency that the agreement was reached on the basis of the Memorandum of Understanding signed with Vasili last month in Belgrade.

He said that the delegation of the Ministry of Health yesterday visited the Institute of Public Health in Tirana and the University Hospital "Mother Teresa", where agreed on concrete cooperation with the Clinical Center of Serbia.

Milosavljevic said that the cooperation of the health systems of Serbia and Albania contributes to a better understanding the peoples of the two countries.

Serbia and Albania have a very good cooperation in the health network of the Southeast Europe, under the umbrella of the World Health Organisation (WHO).

The Minister said that a multlateral meeting of this network will be held in Tirana in November, while in December and expert meeting devoted to autism will be organised.

He said that the delegation of the Ministry of Health, that his two-day visit to Albania, will today visit the hospital in Durres.
