The Grand Hotel at Mt. Kopaonik has won the title of the Champion of Winter Tourism and has been rewarded as the best hotel and tourist facility in the region in 2010, according to an expert selection jury, at the 43th International Tourism Fair in Novi Sad.

Upon receiving the award on behalf of MK Mountain Resort, CEO of the company, Nikola Avram, has underlined advantages of the Grand Hotel: - Top-class service and comfort are something that every guest expects. It is not enough to offer a comfortable and luxurious room today.

A modern guest requests an active vacation, rich with contents, and our task is to always make that offer attractive and innovative.

This award confirms that we are on the right path, said Nikola Avram, CEO of MK Mountain Resort, adding that managing one of the largest hotel complexes in Serbia, the Grand Hotel at Mt. Kopaonik, certainly represents a huge personal and professional challenge.

MK Mountain Resort continuously improves and trains high-quality personnel in the hotel and tourism business, planning to become a generator of development of local tourism and keep pace with global trends.

In one year since MK Group acquired Genex’s complex at Mt. Kopaonik, more than EUR9 million have been invested into its adaptation.

Reconstruction and modernisation of the whole tourist complex includes the “Konaci” apartment complex and the famous "Grand" Hotel. It is planned to invest the total of EUR12.5 million by the end of 2010.
