Mediterranean countries will jointly respond to climate change

Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning Oliver Dulic stated that at the Summit of the Mediterranean Climate Change Initiative in Athens an agreement was adopted on joint action of Mediterranean countries at the upcoming talks on reducing the impact of climate change.
Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning Oliver Dulic stated that at the Summit of the Mediterranean Climate Change Initiative in Athens an agreement was adopted on joint action of Mediterranean countries at the upcoming talks on reducing the impact of climate change.
Dulic told Tanjug news agency that the goals of the Mediterranean Climate Change Initiative listed in the agreement are the adoption of strategic development policies and implementation of concrete steps to reduce the effects of climate change, as well as to react to special challenges with which countries of the Mediterranean are faced.
These goals also include stronger cooperation between countries in the region regarding an exchange of experience and funds while looking for a way to mitigate the greenhouse effect, the Minister added.
