First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic will be in Moscow on 27 and 28 October on the occasion of a session of the Intergovernmental Russian-Serbian Committee for Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation.
Minister Dacic will also meet with Russian Minister for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Management Sergei Shoigu.
At today's meeting in Moscow, the Russian-Serbian Inter-Government Committee for Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation will discuss expansion of the Free Trade Agreement, Russian loan, realization of the Southern Stream pipeline and cooperation in the fields of traffic and internal affairs, as announced by Deputy PM and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic, a co-chair of the Committee.
Reminding that it was agreed at the previous meetings that Russia will set aside 200 million dollars as a loan to cover the Serbian budget deficit, Dacic said that the possible ways to accelerate this agreement will be reviewed since the political decision about it was made and the negotiations have lasted long.
The Minister announced that the price of Russian gas or possible reduction of that price for Serbia will be also discussed.
Serbia and Russia must reach a higher stage of economic relations, which involves joint investments and joint appearance in the third markets, Dacic pointed. He assessed that Serbia has a large capacity for that, since the state has the signed free trade agreements with a series of countries that make a huge market of some 800 million citizens.
At the 9th session of the Inter-Government Committee, the Serbian delegation will also be represented by Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic, Minister of Energy Petar Skundric and Minister of Infrastructure Milutin Mrkonjic.
