Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic said in his New Year’s greeting card to Serbian citizens that he hopes Serbia will step into the New Year with a stronger wish to continue along the path of progress and democracy.

Ahead of us is a year in which we must complete important tasks on the path to Europe, we must lay the foundations of long-term economic reform and bring order into our state in line with the principles of justice, freedom and solidarity, Cvetkovic told the FoNet agency.

The Prime Minister stressed that this will require more unity, tolerance and knowledge.

I wish all of you a happy New Year, much health, happiness, strength and courage to fight together for a better and happier Serbia, concluded the Prime Minister.
