Fourth Kustendorf Festival to open on Jan. 5

The festival will open with a production inspired by scenes from Amaracord, a movie by Federico Fellini, to be performed by Jana Jankovic and the Vrelo and No Smoking Orchestra bands. A special award, The Award for Future Films, will be bestowed on Iranian director Abbas Kiarostami.
Director Emir Kusturica's Kustendorf music and film festival will see its fourth edition in Drvengrad on Mt. Mokra Gora on Jan. 5.
The festival will open with a production inspired by scenes from Amaracord, a movie by Federico Fellini, to be performed by Jana Jankovic and the Vrelo and No Smoking Orchestra bands. A special award, The Award for Future Films, will be bestowed on Iranian director Abbas Kiarostami.
An exhibition called "In Between Shootings of 'Dolce Vita'", featuring 20 photographs taken by Italian cameraman and photographer Arthur Cavanati during the filming of "Dolce Vita", will also be held in the Drvengrad gallery.
The second episode of the "Golden Sixties" documentary series will feature at the start of the festival on Jan. 5 (11 a.m.). The screening is dedicated to Czech director and teacher Otakar Vavra, who will also participate in the event.
Nikita Mikhalkov, Mexican actor Gael Garcia Bernal ("The Motorcycle Diaries", and "Bad Education"), and Norwegian filmmaker Erik Poppe will also attend this festival.
The Daycare Center shoulf going to improve the quality of the everyday life of mentally challenged people and their families, and that future users will have adequate conditions for development, appropriate care, as well as a place to socialize. It will accommodate about 150 mentally challenged people and 300 members of their families.
