Deputy Mayor of Belgrade Milan Krkobabic, US Ambassador to Belgrade Mary Warlick and President of the Creative Educational Center for People with Development Disabilities (KEC MNRO) Margaret Kecman will sign Wednesday agreements on providing premises and a donation for their renovation.
At Krkobabic's initiative, the city of Belgrade has placed premises at KEC MNRO disposal free of charge for 20 years, Krkobabic's ofice said.
The space will be renovated with a USD 450,000 donation from the US embassy.
The premises will be a specialized Daycare Center for mentally challenged people. Its opening is a very significant step in the development of social protection in Belgrade and the quality of life of mentally challenged people, considering that there have been no such specialized institutions so far.
