The third European Commission expert mission, which will further analyze Serbia's answers to the European Commission Questionnaire, on the basis of which an Opinion will be formed on Serbia's EU membership application, began in Belgrade on March 14 and will continue until March 18.

European Commission experts will discuss the protection of human and minority rights, in particular political, civil, economic and social rights, and anti-discrimination and minority protection policies with the representatives of Serbia's institutions.

The Serbian government's Media Cooperation Office announced that inspection of the prison system in Serbia will be a special topic of the discussions.

The experts are to meet with representatives of all appropriate institutions, as well as with civil society organizations that operate in the aforementioned areas.
